GOD WILL SUPPLY OUR NEEDS
By Marvine Scott

Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

Therefore take no thought saying, What shall we eat? Or, What shall we drink? Or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Mother would tell us that we didn’t have anything to worry about. We needed to put God first and He would supply our needs. When Dad and Mom would have trouble financially, Mother would say, "Dad, God’s Answer needs this money. Let’s give it to the Lord because He will supply our needs." There would be times when money would go to them and she would say, I think we better give this to the Lord because God’s work has this need or that. God always supplied their needs - always. Sometimes they had to wait a bit or have rather plain food but they always had food and they always had clothes and they always had a place to live that was warm and comfortable.

All of her children remember that she would say," 'seek first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness' and God will take care of your needs."

She quoted so often Philippians 4:19:

"But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

"He owns the cattle on a thousand hills, the wealth in every mine," she would quote from the familiar chorus. God will take care of us.

She also prayed and claimed the promises of God.
