Treasure in Heaven

Mother used to urge us to remember where our treasure should be. She quoted this verse a lot, encouraging us to store up treasure in heaven.
Matthew 6: 19-21 "Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: (20) But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal; (21) For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."
Mother told us that this earth was not our home and we needed to keep our eyes on Jesus in Heaven. We were "in the world but not of the world." We were to do the things that counted for eternity.
